How to reach the editor of our English Tech Guides by email or X, what to include, how fast we reply and what to keep out of your message.

This page explains how to contact us about the English Tech Guides on Cilginteknoloji.com: a mistake in a guide, a topic you want covered, an advertising question or a copyright problem. The quickest way to contact us is email, and you can write in English or Turkish.

Toprak Kaan Genç, based in Turkey, is the site’s owner and sole editor, and he reads the mail himself. There is no contact form and no phone line: you write by email or on X, and a person writes back.

How to Contact Us

Write to admin@cilginteknoloji.com. This one address covers everything on this page, from a typo report to a business proposal.

A clear subject line, such as “Correction: BitLocker guide” or “Advertising request”, helps us sort mail. One topic per email also gets a faster reply than five unrelated questions in one.

Reaching us on X

You can also contact us on X at @Cilgin_Tekno, where new posts are shared, mostly in Turkish. A short question or a quick note about a typo works there, but for anything with steps, screenshots or links, email is easier to follow.

Mentions and replies on X are public, so keep device details and personal data out of them. Please pick one channel per message; sending the same request on both only puts it in two queues.

What to Contact Us About

Most messages fall into one of four groups. When you contact us, say which group yours belongs to and include the details below. That usually lets us answer in a single reply.

  • Corrections: send the page URL, the step or sentence that is wrong and what you saw instead. A link to an official source, such as the manufacturer’s support page, makes the check much faster. Add your device model and OS version if the difference could depend on them.
  • Topic suggestions: describe the exact problem, what you searched for and what you already tried. Topics here come from real search demand, so a problem many readers share goes on the list.
  • Advertising and partnerships: include your company name, what you have in mind and your timeline. If we ever publish sponsored content, it is labeled as sponsored at the top of the page. We don’t add paid links to guides that are already published.
  • Copyright and takedown requests: send the URL of the page on our site, a link to your original work and whether you want credit or removal.

What We Can’t Help With

We don’t offer phone support, and we can’t do one-to-one troubleshooting for a specific device. That rules out remote sessions and long email diagnoses of a single laptop or phone.

What we can do is fix the guide. If one of our guides left you stuck because a step was missing, unclear or different on your device, contact us and tell us where it broke. The gap then gets filled in the guide itself, for you and the next reader.

Some things are out of our hands. We can’t unlock accounts, recover lost keys or approve warranty claims. According to Microsoft’s BitLocker recovery key help page, even Microsoft Support can’t retrieve or recreate a lost key, so a key that was never backed up can’t come from us either. For warranty and repair questions, contact the manufacturer or your carrier.

Before You Contact Us

Many questions are already answered in a guide. If your problem is one of these, the linked page may save you the wait:

You can browse every guide from the Tech Guides home page. To see who runs the site and how guides are researched and checked, read About us.

What Not to Send Us

When you contact us, leave out anything that would let someone else get into your accounts, devices or money. None of it is needed to answer a question, and we will never ask for it:

  • passwords, PINs and one-time verification codes
  • recovery keys, such as the 48-digit BitLocker recovery key
  • full card numbers or bank account details
  • national ID, passport or driver’s license numbers, or photos of those documents
  • eSIM QR codes or activation codes from your carrier

Leave out IMEI and serial numbers too. A model name is usually enough, and we will only ask for one if the answer depends on it.

Screenshots are welcome, but first crop out email addresses, phone numbers, account names and anything from the list above, or cover them with a solid box; a light blur can sometimes be undone. If you are stuck at the BitLocker screen, our guide on where your BitLocker recovery key is saved is a better first step than emailing the key to anyone.

As Microsoft’s phishing guide explains, scammers pretend to be trusted companies or people you know to get passwords, card numbers and bank details. If a message that claims to come from us asks for a password, a code, a recovery key, card or bank details, an ID document or an eSIM code, it is not from us.

How Fast We Reply

We aim to reply within two business days in Turkey, so weekends and Turkish public holidays don’t count. If you contact us on a Saturday, the count starts on Monday. We work on Turkey time (UTC+3).

Corrections get priority, because a wrong step can cost a reader time or data. When a report holds up against its source, the guide is fixed and its date is updated.

No answer after two business days? Check your spam or junk folder first. Then reply to your original email so the whole history stays in one thread.

What Happens to Your Message

Whatever you contact us about, we use your message to answer you and, if it shows a gap, to improve a guide, without your name or details. The site has no newsletter and no user accounts, so your address is not added to any list. We don’t sell it, and we don’t pass it on unless the law requires it.

Email reaches us through our web host’s mail server in Turkey. Anything you send on X is also processed by X under the X Privacy Policy. Names and other personal details from messages are never published.

You can ask us to delete your emails, or a comment you left on a guide, at any time. Write to us from the email address you used for the message or the comment, and tell us what to remove; for a comment, include the page and the name you used. Our privacy policy explains what the site collects, who receives it and how long it is kept, and our cookie policy lists the cookies the site sets.

Contact Us FAQ

Can I contact us about a post on the Turkish site?

Yes. The same email address covers the Turkish posts on Cilginteknoloji.com, and you can write about them in either language.

Can I suggest a source for a guide?

Yes. If you know an official or primary source on a topic we cover, contact us with the link and the guide it relates to. If it adds something the guide is missing, we cite it there.

Do you publish guest posts?

No. Every guide goes through our own editorial review before publishing, so we don’t accept ready-made articles from outside writers.

Can I ask for a page to be removed?

Yes, if it contains your personal data or uses your copyrighted work without permission. Contact us with the URL and the reason, and we will review it and tell you what we did.
